It seems that lately there has been an abundance of trampoline gyms popping up around Northern Utah. I've been wanting to go to one for a while, but then there's the whole money problem, and of course if you know me very well, you know how prone to accidents I am, so I figure it wouldn't be the best idea for me to be trying to do tricks. Well, I've been doing a lot of things lately that I wouldn't have thought I would do. This last week was spring break, and I didn't end up going anywhere. So we got a group together and went down to Provo to go to the Lowe's Xtreme Air Sports Gym, since they have a student discount. I was pretty timid at the beginning, mostly just jumping from trampolines or trapeze into the foam. I kept trying to build up courage to do a flip, but I kept imagining myself landing on my head. But, I finally did it, and then kept doing it. We finally got a video by like the seventh time.
Pretty lame, I know. But, it gets worse. Apparently, I'm not suited to be an astronaut. As we were leaving, I felt pretty dizzy, and a little carsick as I rode back to Salt Lake. It got better over time, but then when I finally got out of the car again, I felt dizzy. I thought I pulled myself back together, but apparently not because I just passed out onto Heather's car. I was fine, and then the next thing I knew, everybody was asking me if I was okay and all my stuff was scattered across the ground.
So, that's that. I am determined to go to another one, and not pass out next time. And maybe I can do something at least a little bit cooler than just a flip. I'll have to see if maybe Heather or somebody else more talented than me can teach me to do something.
